The iconic Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library has been revamped from top to bottom. The three year, 211 million dollar modernization adds a rooftop reading garden, a new auditorium, a vibrant grand reading room, a conference center and a cafe. To celebrate the reopening, the Library has planned several days of programs starting with the ribbon cutting on September 24. Events will be streamed online and on the Library’s social media platforms.


After opening, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library will offer limited services. These include:
