The Christmas Revels: An American Winter Solstice Celebration

Ring in the holidays—and the new year—with Washington Revels: Travel back in time to December 1870 when the first Black person to sit on Congress, Senator Hiram Rhodes Revels is preparing for a festive party. Christmas Revels brings local folk musicians, the Washington Revels Jubilee Voices, and the Washington Revels Brass to put on an epic celebration filled with joyous carols, heartfelt songs, and toe-tapping dance.
