DC’s Tallest Art Installation Coming to NoMa – Pop-Up Light Projection: Vicissitude by Artist Robin Bell

April 3 @ 7:30 PM - May 4 @ 10:30 PM

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 7:30 PM, repeating until April 3rd, 2022

Free

Robin Bell, renowned DC multimedia artist specializing in live video collages, will cast an original, newly commissioned work onto the 150-foot tall façade of The Burton apartment building (200 Florida Avenue NE), thus becoming DC’s newest and tallest artistic canvas! Building upon his formal training as a classical printmaker, Bell’s new commission, “Vicissitude,” will be a dynamic work, changing just as the Cherry Blossoms do in real-life, always in a constant state of transition with variations tree-by-tree and branch-by-branch, vulnerable to the vicissitudes of weather. The giant pop-up exhibit will go live nightly beginning on Thursday, March 24th, and run each evening from 7:45 PM until 10:30 PM through Sunday, April 3. .
