Curated by Mary D. Garrard and Norma Broude, Diane Burko: Seeing Climate Change is a solo show with the artist addressing the ever-more pressing issue. Burko, a painter, photographer, and climate activist believes art should play a role in addressing climate change. She’s traveled to severely affected areas of the globe, from the Arctic Circle to the Great Barrier Reef, collaborating with scientists to produce work that successfully stresses the threats of climate change. A gallery talk between the curators and artist/climate activist Burko will be take place on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m.
