Part of AFI Silver’s Ukraine on Screen series, catch this screening of Ukrainian playwright and director Natalya Vorozhbit’s debut film featuring four vignettes that center around dangerous encounters during the Russo-Ukrainian war. Bad Roads was Ukraine’s official submission to this year’s Academy Awards and winner of five awards at the 2021 Ukrainian Film Academy Awards focuses on issues women face during wartime and the political landscape between the two countries. A portion of ticket sales go to the Ukraine Crisis Fund administered by Americares.
