Cherry Blossom Cocktail Class

With access to the Tidal Basin limited, you may be wondering how to celebrate the cherry blossoms this spring. And while nothing compares to crowding around the Jefferson Memorial (and getting your feet wet where the pavement crumbles into the water), Sixth & I’s latest virtual event may just do the trick. The synagogue has partnered with Seco Cocktail to host a cherry blossom-inspired cocktail class. Restaurateur and cocktail expert Carlie Steiner will show participants how to create the drink, using simple ingredients like maraschino liquor, vodka, and lemon juice. Participants will also learn about cocktail improvisation and curation, making it easier to whip up good drinks with whatever you have on hand. Show up ready to drown your sorrow about another COVID-tainted peak bloom, and hopefully next year we can crowd together near the water. The event begins at 7 p.m. on April 1. Registration is available at $15.
