At last Tuesday’s Ward 8 Business Council meeting, Councilmember Marion S. Barry Jr. came out in favor of putting cameras up in high-crime areas.
In his typical rambling oratory style, the pioneer of videotaped embarrassments offered the following rationale for why cameras deter crime: “Nobody wants to get caught on video. Except crazy people.”
