City Paper is not for tourists
Every Thursday, we round up Pay-Whats and other cheap seats at local theaters. Just so’s your weekend is a little easier.
Before we start, remember the general rules: (A) Reservations for these? Not so much. (B) They’re offered on a space-available basis, so have a backup plan. (C) Click each theater name for details and contact info.
You know what? Y’all can find your own Pay-Whats this week. I know of one, tonight, for Actors Theatre‘s Tramps and Vampsat 8 p.m. Other than that, I haven’t heard of anything, but then I’ve been a little busy the last couple of days.
There is this free opening-night event for Capital Fringe, though, which is probably why nobody’s opening any shows this weekend. (Coincidence or causality, I dunno, but there are no new plays this weekend…next presser isn’t until Tuesday.)
But almost all the Fringe stuff is $15 max—and some of it’s free. So if you haven’t read the blog yet, what the hell are you waiting for? It’s got stories from the Fringe. And links to shows and whatnot. Go see some.
See ya next week.
