Not for Tourists, the urban guidebook geared toward residents, released its 2007 D.C. edition last month. Exactly how well the writers know D.C. denizens is questionable considering its proclamation in the restaurant section: “There are four types of people in DC: high rollers; wannabe high rollers; counter-culture hippies protesting the indulgent lifestyle of high rollers; and foreign nationals who are high rollers here and/or abroad.”
I’m not sure where that leaves many of us. But amid all this high-roller talk, NFT makes another sweeping statement: Pharmacy Bar is the best “dive bar” in the District.
I like Pharmacy, but is it the best dive bar in the city? Anyone have other nominees?
