It’s a sad time for Van Halen fans. The prospect of a reunion tour fell apart. Eddie went to rehab. And only the band’s ex-bassist and the Red Rocker showed up for the band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (that’s like Billy Ripken accepting entrance into Cooperstown on behalf of his brother).

Maybe sensing the world needs some serious shredding right now, the Fucking Champs have stepped up and plugged in. The band, which features ex-Nation of Ulysses member Tim Green and new member Phil Manley (Trans Am), is set to release VI in April.

In the meantime, the Fucking Champs have come forth with a mighty offering, the super-jam “Spring Break.”
