Marc Fisher reports that Mount Pleasant isn’t anymore—-at least for bands who want to play in the neighborhood’s bars. There’s an effort to lift the ban on live shows. But potentially holding up the ban is one person who’s worse than our Ward 1 councilmember when it comes to show hatin’: Laurie Collins.

Sally Jenkins doesn’t want Imus fired. She wants him to buy season tickets to Rutgers women’s basketball games. And sit in the front row. She thinks he’s not a true racist since (a) she’s been on his show; (b) he championed Harold Ford Jr.; (c) he bitched about the gov’s slow response to Katrina. So that means you can say just about anything and not be considered a racist?
