It’s safe to say that nobody would want to purchase a Men of City Paper calendar, even if the proceeds went to the worthiest charity you could imagine. (I did once undertake a male makeover for a magazine article, but anything I learned about styling gels has since been expunged; I’d have a hard time making it even into the Handsome Boy Modeling School.)

Still, we have January locked. CP contributor Kriston Capps is nominated in FishbowlDC’s annual fit of objectification, its Hottest Media Types awards. He’s grouped in the “Male, Off Air” category. Before his likely loss to somebody in the on-air and PR categories, he e-mailed this comment:
