City Paper is not for tourists
Woooo! Happy Birthday, Gandhi! Yeah! The big 138, my man! How are we gonna celebrate?!
How about a Cage-in / Die-in!
Oh, hell yes!
The party, ahem, animals over at FARM are about to hook us up!
Here’s what’s on tap!
From a press release:
FARM will host a dramatic event in front of the USDA building in downtown Washington, DC. Join us as we enact the stages of a farmed animal’s life. The first display will feature people in crammed in cages, the second will have a slaughter line or butcher, and the third will highlight the end result with people packed in foam packages like meat. Contact us if you’d like to join us for this unforgettable event!
Yeah, bro! I’ll so totally be … at work. But for those of you looking to fill your lunch hour with some animal activism, the party starts today at noon in front of the Department of Agriculture, 14th St. & Independence. Activities run until 7 p.m.!
