Fathers are strange beasts. Too often they want their sons to:
*Have their very same names;
*Follow them into the same profession;
*Join their political party;
*Root for their favorite teams.
Last weekend yielded an extreme example of that fourth category. I present to you Matthew Kowald of Pardeeville, Wisconsin. As you know, that’s serious Green Bay Packers country.
But apparently Kowald’s 7-year-old son hadn’t quite caught Pack fever. The kid reportedly refused to wear a Packers jersey during the team’s playoff victory on Saturday.
So what do you suppose pops did? Buy him a Seahawks jersey?
Nope, he tied the kid up with tape for an hour and taped said jersey to the kid. The proud 36-year-old dad and sick Packers fan pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct after his wife told authorities about the matter.
No word on what the Kowalds are planning to do for the upcoming Pack-Giants game.
This isn't a paywall.
