Silver Spring novelist Manil Suri has just published his second novel, The Age of Shiva, and last week he swung by the Spartan studios of Washington City Paper to talk a little about the novel, the differences between Indian and American audiences, his dual life as a mathematician and writer, and more. Below the interview is a video of Suri at his day job at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, discussing the concept of infinity (via).

Suri reads tonight at 7 p.m. at Politics & Prose.
