Anybody else puzzled and concerned by the lack of responsibility being placed thus far on the driver who killed at least 8 folks in Accokeek over the weekend?
His body count is higher than the Illinois shooter’s, yet the P.G. County cops made no arrests and seemed to be going out of their way to blame everybody and everything but the guy who plowed into a crowd at 3 a.m. while behind the wheel of the 1999 Crown Victoria.
The name of the driver hasn’t even been released yet, and in early reports the police said they were withholding that information because he’s “considered a witness” to the killings. That he was.
This recent report from WBAL in Baltimore is the only one I can find saying charges are “pending” against the driver. To this point all the stories had said “no charges are pending,” which leads me to believe the WBAL piece contains an error.
In any case, any guesses as to why he got the kid gloves treatment? And would only government-fearing wackos think the words “Crown” and “Victoria” provide any clues?
