No more riding through Georgetown! If I play my cards right, maybe even never setting foot in Georgetown again! Yes, by gum, the work on the Rock Creek Park Multi-Use Trail between Virginia Avenue NW and P Street NW seems to be finally drawing to a close. The trail between those points has had a soft opening, even if things are still not quite just so—-workers are trimming the edges of the asphalt, sinking guardrails, smoking cigs. But it’s smooth, mostly, except for this one weird bend in the trail that’s somehow become more dangerous than before. Maybe that’ll get fixed, too. Could it be a little wider? Not sure, but I passed a couple of Europeans on rental bikes and none of their pigtails whacked me in the face, so I think maybe a little.

Above, a picture I took from what I really hope was my last trip through Rose Park last week.
