City Paper is not for tourists
And Now, Anacostia doesn’t endorse Barry for today’s election. The esteemed blog throws its support to Charles Wilson. Congress Heights On The Rise does the same. Our own Loose Lips also endorsed Wilson writing:
“The 32-year-old management consultant and Anacostia resident doesn’t have a whole lot of governing bona fides aside from helping his neighbors rake in D.C. government money to fix their homes, but he’s shown a decent grasp of the issues and a willingness to forgo the usual Ward 8 pandering game. Which means he doesn’t have a chance in hell.”
Bloomingdale (for now) reports that its neighborhood is finally getting a bar (!). It has the pictures to prove it.
New Columbia Heights follows up previous reporting on the changes going on at Mayorga. The coffee shop is now going to become a sushi restaurant. Maybe the change will mean a better use of the historic space. The coffee shop wasn’t cutting it. In six months, it will be a yogurt joint.
