Yesterday, LL walked into the mayoral bullpen on the third floor of the John A. Wilson Building to find a giant blown-up photo of Mayor Adrian M. Fenty with Barack Obama hanging above the reception desk.
And then this afternoon, LL returned to the bullpen to find yet another big photo of Hizzoner and Barack right next to the other one:
The pics were taken on July 17, 2007, when Fenty endorsed Obama at the King Greenleaf Rec Center in Southwest, becoming one of the first big-city mayors in the country to get on the ol’ Hope Train.
Two other photos were laying on the floor, too, ready to be installed by building crews in time for Tuesday’s parade watch event at the Wilson Building, which is expected to bring approximately 3,000 into the historic edifice fronting on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Folks will have plenty of spots to check out the festivities without competing for scare window space: Big-screen TVs mounted on stands have been placed in the Wilson Building halls as of this afternoon.
