Looking at former CP Staff Writer Joe Eaton, you’d never know he was such a freaking gearhead. He looks more like a guy who gets weak at the knees about Belle & Sebastian rarities than someone who’s powerless before a hunk of classic Detroit steel, whether it’s mostly Bondo at this point or not. But as far as I know, Eaton’s never heard Belle & Sebastian, and he wrote the text for my favorite Darrow Montgomery photo essay, “Corrode to Nowhere.” And now he’s got a blog called Rumblenote, which is about “Cars, Motorcycles, Anything That Moves.” Now you don’t have to get a beer with him to hear about the Porsche he just missed out on buying from John Breaux‘s son. Your loss, but it’s the next best thing.
