City Paper is not for tourists
Last Friday evening, the police responded to a report of gunfire along the 800 block of Delafield NE. The police and emergency personnel found a man suffering with a gunshot wound to the head in the alley. The D.C. Police Department writes in a release: “The victim, identified as 30-year-old John Reaves of Northeast Washington, DC, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The body was then transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.”
On Saturday, D.C. Police and Fire/EMS workers responded to the 4100 block of Minnesota Avenue SE for a report of a shooting. Upon arriving on the scene, they found a boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Police write in a release: The victim, identified as 14-year-old Arthur Daniels of NE, Washington, DC, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.”
“Hit in the back as he tried to get away from two men on Minnesota Avenue in Northeast.
Arthur Daniels was with a group of friends from the Victory Outreach Church when two men began hassling them just after eleven pm. The men wanted to know where the boys were from. They kept asking…’Where do you live?'”
