The D.C. Police Department has vacuumed up more guns and ammo off our streets. So here’s the latest assortment of guns on the table.

From an April 15 release:

“At approximately 8:30 am, on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Third District were conducting an investigation in the 600 block of Newton Place, NW. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered two rifles. The suspect in this case was arrested and faces gun charges.”

“At approximately 6:55 pm, on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Seventh District Vice Unit were conducting a traffic stop in the 200 block of Newcomb Street, SE. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered a semi-automatic handgun with several live rounds of ammunition. The suspect in this case was arrested and faces gun charges.”

“At approximately 8:26 pm, on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Narcotics and Special Investigations Division were executing a search warrant in the 3400 block of 5th Street, SE. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered a semi-automatic handgun with several live rounds of ammunition. No arrest was made however, this case remains under investigation.”

From an April 14 release:

“At approximately 11:45 am, on Monday, April 13, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Sixth District were conducting an investigation in the 4600 block of Hillside Road, SE. During the course of the investigation, a semi-automatic handgun was recovered. The suspect in this case was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License, among other charges.”

From an April 13 release:

“At approximately 10:05 pm, on Saturday, April 11, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Sixth District were conducting a traffic stop in the 300 block of 37th Street, SE. During the course of the investigation, a semi-automatic handgun with several live rounds of ammunition was recovered. The suspects in this case were arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License.”

“At approximately 11:45 pm, on Saturday, April 11, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Third District were conducting a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Columbia Road, NW. During the course of the investigation, a semi-automatic handgun with several live rounds of ammunition was recovered. The suspect in this case was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License.”

“At approximately 1:10 am, on Sunday, April 12, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Seventh District were conducting a traffic stop in the 3300 block of 5th Street, SE. During the course of the investigation, a semi-automatic handgun with several live rounds of ammunition was recovered. The suspect in this case was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License.”

“At approximately 7:00 pm, on Sunday, April 12, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Narcotics and Special Investigations Division were conducting a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Wheeler Road, SE. During the course of the investigation, a semi-automatic handgun was recovered. No arrest has been made in this case.”

“At approximately 8:34 pm, on Sunday, April 12, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s First District were conducting an investigation in the 400 block of 18th Street, NE. During the course of the investigation, a handgun was recovered. The suspect in this case was arrested and charged with Carrying a Pistol without a license.”

“At approximately 9:20 pm, on Sunday, April 12, 2009, members assigned to the Department’s Narcotics and Special Investigations Division were conducting an investigation in the 600 block of Edgewood Street, NE. During the course of the investigation, a semi-automatic handgun was recovered.”
