D.C. Police report that early Friday morning 29-year-old Prince Wright was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Police write in a press release:
“Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred on Dix Street, NE.
At approximately 1:00 am on Friday, May 1, 2009, members assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to a residence in the 4800 block of Dix Street, NE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located 29-year-old Prince Wright, of the 4400 block of Dix Street, NE, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.
