Here’s the latest in the string of big announcements from the rapidly reconfiguring Washington Times: Come Monday, a new print edition will hit the streets. The new edition, according to a very recent release, will cover the following areas: national politics, investigative stuff, geopolitics, in-depth local reporting, “sports features,” international and domestic business and economics.
So just what has changed? Well, we’ll try to figure that out.
In the meantime, there are some leadership changes in the newsroom—-the main one being that former Washington Postie Jeff Birnbaum is leaving his job as chief of online operations for a post as a Beltway columnist.
More to come.
