A third suspect has been booked in connection to the Brian Betts homicide case. Montgomery County Police have chargedDeontra Q. Gray, 18, with one count of first degree murder, one count of armed robbery, and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Gray is being held without bond.

Two other 18-year-olds—Sharif Tau Lancaster andAlante Saunders—face similar charges. Police believe the teens made contact with Betts, a middle school principal, through a gay chat line, and that, when the suspects entered Betts’ home on April 15, they intended to rob him. Betts was found fatally shot in his Silver Spring home an on April 16.
