The damned West Coast media has won lost the morning (even if it is afternoon already) with this scoop: DCPS Chancellor Michelle Rhee and Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson will be getting married Labor Day weekend—about two weeks before the primary that will likely determine where Rhee will be working/not working in the near future. And designer Monique Lhuillier will be making Rhee’s wedding dress.

Just in case you don’t know who Lhuillier is (LL did, of course, but then, LL is très fashion-forward), here’s her bio, courtesy of KCRA-TV reporter Lynsey Paulo:

“She designed the wedding gown worn by country singer Carrie Underwood, and also designed gowns for Britney Spears and Sara Gore, the daughter of former vice president Al Gore.”

Now you know. And knowing is half the battle!
