So much for this new Dan Snyder we keep hearing about.
There’s a revolution going on at ExtremeSkins, the Snyder-owned message board. And it’s being kickstarted from within Snyder’s own ranks. Earlier this evening, a moderator at the site called the team out for its policy of hawking unsold seats as “player ticket returns.”
The moderator, who posts on the board as Mark the Homer, is respected among ExtremeSkins regulars for his encyclopedic knowledge of all ticket and seating matters. He says the seats Snyder is actually trying to “pawn off” on “gullible” fans are those with views so “crappy” that the team has been unable to sell them through regular channels.
“What the team, the ticket office, whoever, is doing here is misleading and dishonest,” he said. “They are attempting to cheat the public by not providing a fair description of the view of the field from these seats.”
“This kind of stuff makes me ashamed to be associated with the team,” he wrote.
This is big stuff. If Mark the Homer’s blasting Snyder’s ticketselling ways, there’s a problem there.
And, what the hell, speaking of encyclopedic:

BEWARE of so-called “VIKINGS PLAYER TICKET RETURNS”
I just checked them out a few mins ago via the link that was emailed to me.

They only show you one set of seats per attempt. I had to go back and forth. I tried “Best Available”, Upper Level, Lower Level, and kept going back to get new locations. First I tried for 4 seats together. This is what they offered me:
425 row 9 seats 1-4
429 row 9 seats 1-4
I know damn well these seats SUCK. There’s a railing directly in front of the seats, completely screwing up the view. They SUCK. Plain and simple. So I tried two seats instead of four. These are the offers provided to me:
454 row 9 seats 22-23
427 row 9 seats 1-2
426 row 9 seats 22-23
402 row 9 seats 3-4
Here are some ideas of what these views look like at the aisle and as you move in:

I can hardly believe these are player returns. I believe these are actually NOT player return seats. I believe these are actually suck-ass crappy seats that the team was never able to sell to season ticket holders, and therefore are trying to pawn off on the gullible fans the week before the game. I know this has been going on all season because I’ve seen this the week before other games.
There is no indication on any of these ticketmaster invoices warning the buyer of the crappy view.
This kind of stuff makes me ashamed to be associated with the team. And it’s been going on all season. And just to be clear, I, mth, staff member on ES.com, a site owned by the Washington Redskins, is calling the Redskins ticket office out. What the team, the ticket office, whoever, is doing here is misleading and dishonest. They are attempting to cheat the public by not providing a fair description of the view of the field from these seats. The product they will deliver is not the product they are implying they will deliver.
So I am warning the ES membership here, now.
