Showers. Highs around 50. South winds 5 to 10 mph…becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of rain 90 percent.

Sounds like what we used to call “Redskins weather!” around here.

Too bad an outdoor Caps game is scheduled. The rainy ruination of the Winter Classic that was rumored all week seems likelier by the minute.

Oh, well. Maybe I’ll be watching college football on Jan. 1 after all. Old school…
