The choice of licensed headgear for a highway robbery could strike some as redundant.
Montgomery County Crime Solvers have put out an APB for a stooge who robbed a TD Bank on Route 29 in Silver Spring on Monday. According to info released by the cops, the robber was “was last seen wearing a beige baseball style cap, yellow shirt, and beige shorts. The suspect was carrying a light colored shopping bag.”
The bank’s surveillance photos, however, indicate that the “beige baseball style cap” that the bad guy was sporting during his cash grab was really a Redskins cap. (The photos also show that the no-goodnik’s “light colored shopping bag” is a plastic CVS bag.)
If you recognize the hat wearer, call the Montgomery County Police Robbery Section at 240-773-5100, or Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or 240-773-TIPS (8477).
Anybody who drops a dime on the right creep is eligible for a “cash reward of up to $1,000” from the county.
The Redskins hat-wearing crook might be pleased to know that’s the same amount of scratch Dan Snyder will give you if you can sell a pair of club seats for him.
More photos of the bad guy and the press release, both from the Montgomery County police, after the jump. (And thanks to thayeravenue.com for the tip.)
