The White House is being bathed in pink light to raise awareness of breast cancer. Raising awareness is big business when it comes to breast cancer. Though, considering how much pink stuff (towels, KitchenAid mixers, cameras, White Houses) is out there, maybe it’s time to consider some re-coloring on the behalf of some other causes. A few suggestions:
- Blue to raise awareness of sex trafficking
- Teal for ovarian cancer
- Purple for Alzheimer’s awareness
- Yellow for the troops
- Gray for Zombie Awareness Month
Or perhaps the White House should skip the symbolism, and leave the colored lights to the Empire State Building.
