Two alerts from D.C. in my inbox!

The National Weather Service has Issued a Winter Weather Advisory – beginning 11PM tonight to 1:00 PM Saturday.
Around 11:00 PM  – Sleet & Snow for several hours.
As much as an inch of snow accumulation across the area.
Before sunrise (Saturday morning) – freezing rain from a trace to 1/10 of ice during the early to mid-morning hours
Freezing line – South & East of DC until 8:00 – 9:00 AM with rain tomorrow afternoon. Mid to upper thirties in the afternoon in Northwestern suburbs.
Rain ending in the late afternoon. Please drive carefully.

And:

National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Metropolitan area to include the District Of Columbia, from 11:00 PM tonight until 1:00 PM Saturday(1/21/12). Precipitation is snow, sleet and freezing rain. Accumulation is expected to be a coating to one inch.

Well, I’m definitely mentally prepared now.
