City Paper is not for tourists
The seconds after the Supreme Court issued its ruling on President Barack Obama‘s healthcare reform law this morning were not CNN’s finest moments. The network breathlessly reported that the court had found the law’s mandate for all Americans to have health insurance unconstitutional, when in fact, the court had done the exact opposite.
And while the Associated Press (which got the story right, along with most other news organizations) may have ordered its reporters to stop taunting CNN on Twitter, we at Washington City Paper weren’t feeling so charitable. Below, here’s how we thought CNN might have fared covering some news a little closer to home here in the District.
