Redskins tight end Fred Davis was suspended last season after failing drug tests, but now he’s facing another challenge: a legal fight with a woman named Makini R. Chaka that has involved restraining orders and nightclub blacklists, Washingtonian reports.
Depending on who you believe, Chaka is a “pimpette” who provides women to celebrities or a “celebrity broker” who arranges nightclub appearances for the famous.
The bad blood between Davis and Chaka goes back to a 2011 dust-up in D.C.’s Josephine Nightclub and Lounge. After that, Chaka says, Davis got her blacklisted from clubs to hurt her business. She’s suing him for a permanent restraining order and damages.
Both Chaka and Davis are representing themselves. This has resulted in some amusing exchanges, like this argument between the two over the true meaning of a pimp cup:
Davis: So, they use a pimp cup, that’s all.
Chaka: Mr. Davis, I’m drinking out of a decorated accessory as many celebrities do.
Davis: Many celebrities as who, Magic Don Juan that’s a pimp?
There’s more at the DC Sports Bog, which describes the case as “like Law & Order meets Flavor of Love meets Real Housewives of Random D.C. Clubs.”
