Quarterback Wants Dollars: Incoming Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has a side career in commercials in his future (seriously, look at this), but he may have to become a pitchman permanently if negotiations over his contract aren’t finished soon. Griffin has already missed days at rookie camp because of the dispute, which hinges on what happens to money in his $21 million contract if the contract is waived.  -2

Slow Roll: In an attempt to avoid any more rails cracking in this heat, Metro is running trains at a slower 35 miles per hour today. Sounds bad, but really, that’s just means more Metro for your dollar. +1

Shack Smack: Prince of Petworth is pushing around the rumor that Shake Shack will open a new location in the cafe next to the Spy Museum. A Shake Shack rep wouldn’t comment on the rumor, but who cares, let’s get more places to get more of that sweet burger sauce. +4

The Sweet Life: The salad and frozen yogurt slingers at Sweetgreen have registered limited liability corporations ahead of the launches of four potential new locations in Washington. +2
