Hackers have been creating mischief on Major League Baseball Facebook pages today, using the Yankees’ account to announce Derek Jeter‘s sexual reassignment surgery and the White Sox’s to call Barack Obama a Muslim. They also appear to have targeted the Nationals.

In a post on the team’s Facebook page (right), the team appeared to announce a return to its pre-2005 days as the Montreal Expos. Plaintive “???”‘s from fans ensued. The post has since been scrubbed from the page.

The Nationals haven’t confirmed yet whether they were hacked. When I called the Nats’ media office, I was told that no one was in because of tonight’s game against the Phillies.
