The story behind yesterday’s Family Research Council shooting gets stranger and stranger as more details come out. Twenty-eight-year-old Floyd Corkins, the alleged attacker, was carrying 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches in his backpack, according to an affidavit filed today.
Corkins has been charged with assault with intent to kill while armed and interstate transportation of a firearm and ammunition. According to the affidavit, Corkins’ parents told investigators that their son “has strong opinions with respect to those he believes do not treat homosexuals in a fair manner.”
