Albrecht Muth, who’s stashed at St. Elizabeths while psychiatrists determine whether he can stand trial for the murder of his Georgetown socialite wife, has aspired to many positions in his time. After his incarceration, Mr. Muth began writing a memoir titled Judgment at Washington, Triumph of Illusion: a Journal of Life in D.C. Jail, a 250-page manuscript that contains his account of what happened to his wife and the aftermath of her death.

“Since being appointed Brigadier General, I have been on the radar of Iranian intelligence,” Mr. Muth wrote. “The crime has all the elements of a professional hit. The killer entered and exited the house and committed the crime without leaving a trace.”

The Times adds that Muth has already picked Leonardo DiCaprio as his choice to play him in a movie version of Judgment at Washington, Triumph of Illusion. What do you think, readers—-comedian Chris Elliott?

Update, 2:20 p.m.: Georgetown Patch reports that Muth wants to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio. I see what Muth’s thinking here, in terms of contemporary tending-towards-seediness DiCaprio, but I still think Elliott’s a better pick.
