Hey, Metroheads, I know you love complaining about WMATA online. But as long as you’re doing that, why not win some prizes?
That’s the idea behind the website for Metro’s new Momentum campaign, which features a forum where users can grouse about their pet Metro issues. In exchange for engaging with the site, users get points that can be redeemed for entries in a raffle for prizes.
And Metro’s copywriters are really putting their hearts into those prizes. You could win a Metro map or a coffee cup (“a classic gift for anyone who enjoys a hot beverage”). But the real stars here are a signed mug and, inexplicably, a Metro transit police calendar:
Get your caffeine fix in a mug signed by Metro’s Police Chief and keep a record of 2013 appointments in a stylish MTPD pocket calendar.
An autograph from Metro Transit Police Chief Michael Taborn, made famous in the “Is That Your Bag” announcements, on a coffee mug. Why not?
