Dining Decadence: Last night’s Capital Food Fight charity event apparently turned into an twisted foodie bacchanalia, with diners feasting on a slaughtered iguana for $1,000 a chew. But that’s downright respectable compared to what man paid $1,000 to do—-eat ham off of Padma Lakshmi‘s collarbone. -5
The Logan Loop: In a new video, a man drives his car across Logan Circle. Literally across it—-as in driving on the park. -4
Botched Bird: As an example of terrible timing, it’s hard to beat this. Cardinal Bank has, presumably unintentionally, bought ad space for a giant cardinal in the Navy Yard Metro station, the one station guaranteed to have fans headed to Nats-Cardinals playoff games. Even worse, the ad is on the floor and prone to a quick pregame stomp. -3
Baseball Sanity: Members of the D.C. Council love their free Nationals tickets, but they may be starting to see reason on the issue. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson turned down an offer from the Nationals for free playoff tickets. +1
