Kids these days! Where once high school pranks required only shaving cream, a feather, and a drowsy friend, today’s practical jokers prefer to pretend that they’ve been blinded by a chemical spill. WAMU reports that a practical joke at Chevy Chase’s St. John’s College High School brought six emergency vehicles to the school.
The scare involved nearly a dozen students complaining of eye irritation and triggered a large response from D.C. Fire and EMS crews. Seven students were evaluated and released to their parents.
Pretty clever prank, since all it requires are some willing classmates. Even D.C.’s Fire and Emergency Services Department’s Twitter account was fooled, tweeting updates on the spill until it realized something was up.
