Dear car2go DC Members,
Please be advised as you prepare for the approaching storms in DC, car2go is preparing for the severe weather as well.
For your safety and ours, car2go will temporarily suspend service beginning at 7PM today, and you will not be able to begin rentals after that time.
As a precaution, if you currently have a rental open, we encourage you to safely return the car to an area that is away from the DC Flood Zones, away from trees, and away from Emergency Evacuation Routes.
The restricted areas include but are not limited to:
•Georgetown Waterfront (Water St.)
•Capitol Riverfront (Capitol Hill Waterfront Stadium)
For more information about DC Flood Zones visit the District Department of the Environment HERE.
We will reopen service when weather conditions allow, and we will notify you when it is safe for car2go to begin operations again.
