Day One of Hurricane Sandy belonged to NBC 4’s Wendy Rieger. Sadly, the station still has not posted the video of Rieger’s awesome Rehoboth Beach rooftop soliloquy yesterday. (The shoutout was nice, NBC 4, but we want the Mascara Tape online, pronto!)
A producer did, however, release this Wendy gem into the wild. Rieger takes the camera behind the scenes, revealing a cooler full of junk food, a bed against a wall, some summer sausage and four seemingly very tolerant crew members. What’s it like to be trapped in a room with Rieger? Check out this video from 2008, in which Washington City Paper contributor Justin Moyer gets Wendy to stare into the camera silently for three minutes, as a kind of portrait.
