Nationals fans pining for next spring will soon have another way to show their support for the team: on their cars. In an email to fans today, the team announced that it’s launching a branded license plate program in Maryland and the District.
“Ignite Your Natitude while you drive!” promises the email. The Nationals are looking for registered D.C. and Maryland drivers to say they’re interested in the plates, presumably to gauge interest.
The actual plates will cost as much as $100, according to the team.
I’ve contacted the Nationals about the chances for a Virginia plate—-the team’s license plate page says a Virginia plate is “coming soon.” But getting a unique tag in the Old Dominion shouldn’t too hard—-the state already offers more than 200 themed license plates.
