After their win over the Portland Trailblazers last night, the 1-12 Washington Wizards are one game ahead of the Washington Capitals—-but that’s because the Capitals haven’t played any games, thanks to the NHL lockout. With some tickets going for less than a dollar, the Wizards are now one of the cheapest entertainment options in town.
But are they the cheapest show at the Verizon Center? Tour the online ticket reseller StubHub and you’ll learn that a seat at a Wizards game is worth less than a seat at a wrestling match or a schmaltzy Christmas concert. Still, there is one basketball team playing in Washington that’s cheaper than the Wizards: the Harlem Globetrotters.
