Have you ever wanted to see 24 hours of Metro buses and circulators, all from a detached, sky-high viewpoint? This surprisingly soothing video lets you do just that. The video was created by Vancouver resident Andrew Walker, a computer programmer who creates video maps using data from transit agencies.
While Walker published an earlier version of his video last month, the new version makes trains look different from buses, giving the trains more of what Walker describes as a tadpole-like shape. In the updated video, Walker also drew in the Metro line colors.
“It highlights the trains over the buses, because obviously they carry a lot more people,” Walker says. “So it’s only right that they get a lot more emphasis in the video.”
