Sounds like in addition to zillions of passengers, WMATA has another little problem on its hands: Issues with two signal lights are causing additional delays on the Red and Orange lines.

Red Line:Expect delays to Glenmont due to a track problem outside Van Ness.

WMATA also tweets that personnel are “preparing stations for the increased entry of customers,” but unless a station manager can magically widen a station entrance, increase the number of escalators, or make the trains run faster, it doesn’t seem like passengers are in for anything other than an extremely crowded ride. The line to get into the Judiciary Square stop already looks brutal.
