The magic’s in the mix! According to police, one group of Washington drug dealers are using a new spot for their stash: a Honey Bunches of Oats box.
Alleged cereal fans Herman Murillo and Edin Perez have both been charged with distributing cocaine. Murillo and Perez brought their cereal box to a meeting with a potential cocaine buyer Sunday in the parking lot of a Georgia Avenue McDonald’s, according to police, only to discover that their their customer was an MPD officer.
MURILLO entered the rear seat of the [officer’s] vehicle and removed a Honey Bunches of Oats cereal box from under his shirt, and handed it to the [officer]. The [officer] looked inside the box and handed it to PEREZ. PEREZ opened the box, removed a plastic baggie, containing a white powder substance, and handed the box and the baggie back to the [officer].
Apparently, a Honey Bunches of Oats box can hold a lot of powder. The box contained 886.6 grams of a mixture that tested positive for cocaine, according to police.
