Hey @washingtonpost, I’m having coffee with Elvis this week. He works at the Mocha Moose in Wasilla. #suziparkerscoops #idiotmedia

Sarah Palin’s on a rampage against the #idiotmedia today, thanks to Washington Post “She the People” blogger Suzi Parker. Parker somehow fell for a parody article about Palin joining Al-Jazeera that not only wasn’t real, but wasn’t even funny. A sample:
“If a liberal darling like Al Gore has no problem selling his network to the Al-Jazimian (sic) people, then I have no problem joining their network,” Palin said. “Americans have a bad view of Muslims because of terrorism and Barack Obama.”
The obvious fakeness of the article didn’t stop Parker from writing that Palin’s non-existent move to the network was a sign that Palin was on a comeback tour. Parker’s article no longer references the mythical Al-Jazeera job, with a perfectly straight-faced correction tacked on: “The blogger cited a report on the Daily Currant Web site as the basis for that information without realizing that the piece was satirical.”
