The National Zoo’s fancy new Elephant Trail will soon have another resident. The zoo is taking in Bozie, a 37-year-old Asian elephant from the Baton Rouge Zoo.

Apparently, Bozie’s been lonely since her 46-year-old elephant pal in Louisiana died last month. The National Zoo promises that she’ll “prosper” with the zoo’s three other Asian elephants.

But Bozie is no ordinary Asian elephant—-she can paint. The Baton Rouge Zoo’s director tells the Post that one of the elephant’s paintings was sold to raise money for tsunami relief.
