An unidentified man put himself on the Metro tracks at the Courthouse stop this afternoon. Unlike other people who have recently put themselves in the path of the trains, though, he lived.

The man was on the tracks for only a moment, according to Metro spokesman Dan Stessel, although another Metro passenger tweeted that the man was on the tracks for longer. Two Metro trains in the direction of New Carrollton were delayed 12 and 5 minutes, respectively, after being told to slow down because of the man on the tracks.

The man has been taken for psychological evaluation, according to Stessel.
